Michael Alexander Quest, born in Germany, is a photographer currently based in Vietnam.
In his personal work he often looks at urban spaces and cultural landscapes and how people respond to changes in their environment. His instinctive approach aims for a subjective documentary of culture, human development and its impact on nature. He photographs film and digital.
Before turning his interest to photography Michael had a career in international affairs and for many years served as diplomat for the United Nations and European Union in Asia and Northern Africa. Based on this work experience his practice is oriented to communicate contemporary changes in Politics, Identity, and Nature.
